Summer Events Update

Although Lucerne Lake is still seriously frozen solid, it's time for an update on the events that are currently scheduled for this summer's Family Trophy extravaganza! These include: Swimming Snorkeling* Fishing Canoeing Kayaking Pedal Boating* Walking on water   Frog Catching Badminton Tennis Table Tennis* Bocce* Mini-Golf* Horsehoes* Darts* Be there, or be "square". * New event for 2018!

Other Possible Trophies

Vish kindly offered the following thoughts in a recent email: "I respectfully submit that The Committee considers adding an annual ‘Eric the Eel Moussambani Trophy’ for swimming and water-related sport activities. Please see attached video for reference: href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P8U4g_srRU">The Inspiring Determination of Eric Moussambani | Throwback Thursday ". Wow! That guy is something else! Now, there is certainly the possibility of diversifying the trophies by way of specific sports. One issue is the amount of energy that the adjudicators have when it comes to creating the trophies themselves. This is no small task! We suggest that, in the meantime, we stick with the two major (and rather magnificent) trophies, but continue to solicit suggestions for additional awards of the type suggested by Vish.
